The unique Aprica carriers benefits from research carried out at the company’s paediatric research centre in Japan and offers three positions for safely carrying a baby from birth up to around three years of age or 14.9kg.

From birth the Aprica carrier adapts to carry baby in the most natural lay flat position, which ensures that the abdominal muscles and breathing are not affected, utilising its semi rigid structure which also features a ventilation system for added comfort. Built in total head protection ensures additional safety for baby and at the same time gives the benefit of discreet breast feeding without having to remove the sling. The design also ensures that the hips are also protected and kept in the ergonomic ‘hourglass’ position that newborn babies naturally adopt.

Once baby is older he can be carried in an upright position either facing forwards or towards you. The flat ventilated structure can be easily removed for washing and for when your baby sits in the sling in an upright position but even at this stage there is support for the delicate neck muscles.
